Kuta (Antara Bali) - Bandung Institute of Technology`s (ITB`s) JAV team will
represent Indonesia at the ASEAN Hacker Competition in Bangkok,
Thailand, in November 2017, after winning "Cyber Jawara" at the Code
Bali 2017 in Bali on Sept 26-28.
"The second place was won by the Usagi Security Team from the University of Indonesia, and the third position was grabbed by the Neither Fast Nor Accurate team from the Bogor Institute of Agriculture," Cyber Jawara competition organizer`s chairman Rudi Lumanto noted here, Friday.
The ITB team comprised Jason Jeremy Iman, Aufar Gilbran, and Muhamad Visat Sutarno.
"We did not expect to win, as the questions were very varied, complicated, and challenging," Iman remarked.
According to Lumanto, the questions posed were more difficult than last year.
"I am certain that this year`s winner is much more skilled than the previous year, as variations in the problems are getting more complicated," he noted.
He expressed hope that the tougher problems would drive the champions to win the ASEAN Hacker Competition.
Chairman of the national hacker competition "Cyber Jawara 2017" Miftah Setiadi said attack and defense in the game are the most decisive aspects in the competition apart from digital forensic games, reverse engineering challenge, and reporting.
