Bali United, PS TNI Teams Share 2-2

Gianyar (Antara Bali) - Bali United, the host soccer team, and its rival PS TNI shared 2-2 score in the Indonesia Soccer Championship, better known as Torabika Soccer Championship 2016 here on Wednesday evening.

At the first round, PS TNI`s player Erwin Ramdani conceded the first goal at the 11th minute in the match to be held at the Kapten Diptha, Gianyar stadium.

The hosts, Bali United then dominated the play and got golden opportunities several times through hard kicks of Nemanjan Vidakovic, I Made Wirahadi and Felisianus Junius, however, none of the three players successfully scored a goal.

At the second half, PS TNI`s player Manahati Lestusen netted another goal for his team at the 54th minute.

Then, Bali United which was supported by more than 16,000 spectators scored another goal in 62nd minute by I Made Adi Wirahadi.

Playing with ten players, the host team netted the second goal by Nemanja Vidakovic in the 80th minute.

During the match, the referee issued one red card for one player of Bali United`s player Hendra Sandi Gunawan in 68th minute due to "hands ball".

A total of 18 clubs are participating in the Indonesia Soccer Championship.

The participating clubs are Arema Cronus FC, Bali United, PS Barito Putera, Bhayangkara Surabaya United, Madura United, Mitra Kukar FC, Persegres Gresik, Persela Lamongan, Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta, Perseru Serui, Persipura Jayapura, Persiba Balikpapan, PS TNI, PSM Makassar, Pusamania Borneo FC, Semen Padang FC and Sriwijaya FC.

The championship, which offers a cash prize of Rp3 billion, was officially opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Papua provincial city`s Mandala Jayapura stadium on April 29.(WDY)
