Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian men's double pair of badminton athletes Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan have entered the second round of French Open 2015 tournament after defeating the Chinese men's double in the first day.
"Today's result is good. But we still should focus of attention for tomorrow's game. We lost to Lu Kai/Liu Cheng in Denmark because Liu had strong energy. Meanwhile, Cai Yun is a play maker," Ahsan said in Paris, France, as quoted by the Public Relations and Social Media Team of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) in a press release received here on Wednesday night.
Hendra/Ahsan beat Cai Yun/Lu Kai pair in the first round the super series tournament with a score of 21-13, 21-10.
Indonesian men's doubles pair gained point by point easily either on the first or second game.
Cai/Lu were only able to equalize the points three times in the second game namely at the position of 1-1, 5-5, and 6-6, in the game which lasted 26 minutes.
In the second round, Hendra/Ahsan still await an opponent from the result of match between the Japanese pair of Kenta Kazuno/ Kazushi Yamada facing Taiwan's team Lin Chia Yu/Wu Hsiao-Lin.
In addition, another Indonesian men's double pair of Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi will face the team of Poland Adam Cwalina/Przemyslaw Wacha in the first round match which will take place on Wednesday night. (WDY)
