Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has urged Cilacap Mayor Tatto Suwarto Pamuji to develop the district as an industrial area in Central Java.
"The president has asked that the land in Cilacap be transformed into an industrial area as soon as possible," Tatto stated after a meeting with President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace complex here on Monday.
"I have set up an accelerated development team and have reported it to the president," the mayor of Cilacap noted.
According to Tatto, President Jokowi has urged that every inch of land in the district should be made useful, and he is ready to implement it.
Tatto affirmed that he had explained the concept of "Cilacap to be Singapore of Java" to the president during the meeting on Monday.
"Cilacap is the largest district, with the biggest population in Central Java, and therefore, the development there will continue to be accelerated," he remarked.
He further noted that Cilacap district has an extensive land area that can be transformed into an industrial city in Central Java and in Indonesia. (WDY)
