Palestinians struggle for independence is a crucial issue of political solidarity to be discussed at the event because the spirit of the Bandung Conference is aimed at eliminating colonialism.

"We believe the independence of Palestine will be accepted later on by the conference participants. If the Asian African countries have recognized the independence, it will be a booster to other nations to give their recognition," she said.

Siti said the optimism on the recognition of Palestine independence can be realized based on the experience of The New Asian-African Partnership (NAASP) meeting in 2008.

The high level meeting which discussed about five-years Palestine development has brought out a commitment from almost African countries to help Palestine in fighting for its independence. In addition, Palestine Ambassador to Inonesia Fariz Mehdawi affirmed that the situation between Asian African Conference on 1955 and today is much different yet they have the same challenge to face.(WDY)
