Contract Derby Villa striker Bent

London (Antara Bali) - Aston Villa striker Darren Bent joined Championship club Derby on a lease, as announced on Friday.

After less liking Villa manager Paul Lambert, Minister of Agriculture Tottenham star player, Bent, agreed to join forces with Steve McClaren who cared for the rest of next season.

Bent, playing internationally (cap) 13 times with England, will play alongside new teammate in Derby on Monday, when confronted with the top team Ipswich, his former club, at Portman Road on January 10.

"We are excited Darren Bent came joined Derby County in the remainder of the upcoming season," said McLaren in Derby's official website.

"I worked with him in the past and he has international experience that will be very useful for us," he said.

Bent, who hired Fulham last season, having a difficult time at Villa Park since he moved to the value of 24 million pounds (36 million dollars) from Sunderland four years ago from Brighton.

He appeared only eight times in the Villa this season and seven times as a substitute.

Bent has scored 106 goals in the Premiership along Ipswich, Charlton, Tottenham, Sunderland, Villa and Fulham. (MFD)
