Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), expects
the government to prioritize scholarships for young researchers to
enable them to develop innovations and new discoveries.
"It is expected that in the incorporation of Research and
Technology with Higher Education in Education and Culture Ministry, the
young researchers from junior high school to college level will get a
scholarship facility," LIPI head Iskandar Zulkarnain said here.
During this time, he said, LIPI continues to encourage the
government to facilitate the young researchers to get a higher education
scholarship.
In addition, young researchers who won competitions both nationally and internationally will get a scholarship from LIPI.
"The granting of this scholarship, an attempt to increase the
potential of young researchers develop innovations and new discoveries
for the betterment of this nation," he said.
He said the potential of young generations find an innovation in
this country is quite high and unfortunately if this potential is not
developed by the government through scholarships and other development
which may increase the quality of young researchers.
"Do not let this young researchers drawn or taken by foreign
countries, due to the lack of government attention in empowering young
researchers," he said.
He said, during this time, many young researchers of this nation
to get a scholarship from the outside and after finishing school, they
work in a foreign company or government agency that is providing the
scholarship.
"This is a concern to us, the talent of young researchers who have
extraordinary pontensial is glimpsed and a scholarship from the state
or foreign private sector in creating an innovation," he said. (WDY)
