Nusa Dua (Antara Bali) - Indonesia as host of APEC Leaders Meeting this year provides a media center facility worth Rp19 billion for journalists, spokesman of the Communication and Information Ministry Gatot Dewobroto said here on Sunday.
"The money is used to rent two convention centers in Nusa Dua area and 500 computers, printers and internet facilities to support journalists covering the APEC event," he said.
As for internet capacity, the organizing committee in cooperation with state-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom provides a 4x10 gigabyte internet capacity which is expected to be fully used during the APEC Leaders Meeting on October 7-8.
About 3,000 journalists are expected to cover the APEC Leaders Meeting in Bali. Leaders from 21 APEC member economies are scheduled to gather in Nusa Dua area, Bali province, next October 7-8.
