Jakarta (Antara Bali) - State-owned Enterprise (SOE) Minister Dahlan Iskan said he was trying to finish the prototype of a second generation electric car this year.
"The team is now working hard to finish it before the summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in October 2013," the minister said after attending a coordination meeting on the construction of Trans Sumatra toll roads at the building of the Finance Ministry office here on Thursday.
He said that the second generation electric car had two types, namely Selo and Arimbi.
Selo is an electric car of the sport type with equal class of Ferrari which would replace the previous Tucuxi car (which has been failed). Arimbi meanwhile is an electric car of the Alphard class.
Selo is named after a Javanese word meaning stone. It is being developed by a young man named Riki Elson. (IGT)
