Denpasar (Antara Bali) - After failing to land at the Ngurah Rai
international airport in Bali on Saturday, the ill-fated Boeing 737-800
MG Lion Air aircraft`s fuselage was broken.
No casualties were reported from the incident that occurred at
15.35 local time (GMT+8). The plane was carrying 101 passengers and
seven crews from Bandung, West Java, when it had the accident. All of
the injured passengers have been taken to Kasih Ibu hospital in the
Kedonganan district.
All of the passengers survived but suffered minor injuries.
A quarter part of the plane was submerged in the sea water. Bali
Police officers helped evacuate the passengers along with medics from
state-run airport operator Angkasa Pura.
According to the plane`s manifest from the Hussein Sastranegara
Airport, Bandung, the ill-fated plane was carrying 95 adult passengers,
five children, one baby, and seven crew members. (*/ADT)
