Denpasar (Antara Bali) - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale rocked Denpasar, the capital of Bali Province, here Thursday, forcing a number of people to rush out of buildings in panic.
The quake's epicenter was located at 9.38 degrees southern latitude and 115.01 degrees eastern longitude, around 84 km southwest Denpasar, and at a depth of 35 km, the Denpasar Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), said.
Head of the Denpasar BMKG I Wayan Suardana added that the tremor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami. (IGT/T007)
