Bengkulu (Antara Bali) - A seven meter long shark weighing two tons has been caught by a group of fishermen in the sea off Malabero of Bengkulu and sold to a fish trader at a price of Rp2 million (US$211.5).
Tens of fishermen with six fishing boats dragged the shark to shore, one of the fishermen Nudin, who first caught the sharp in his net.
The big sharp with a diameter of around 1 meter was trapped in fishnet two miles away from the coast, Nudin said.
"I did not expect we would catch such big shark, which had become an attraction for many local people before we sell it," he said.
He said he and friend Sapri were fishing in the sea when their fishnet was suddenly dragged down by something heavy.(IGT)
