Bali Earns US$28 Million In VOA

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bank Indonesia said earning in visa on arrival (VOA) from foreign tourists visiting Bali  in the first six months of the year reached US$28. million.

The earning in VOA rose from US$25.6 million in the same period last year, economic researcher of the central bank in Bali  Sunarto said here on Saturday.

Sunarto said foreign holidaymakers stay relatively longer or  more than a week in one visit resulting in higher VOA fee.

Those staying longer than a weeks in Bali are charged with a VOA of US$25, he said, adding the fee is US$10 for staying less than a week.

"In the Bank Indonesia's report, there is no foreign visitor paying US$10 for VOA. That means they all stay for more than a week," he said.(IGT)
