Lakey Beach More Attracted To The Tourists

Mataram (Antara Bali) - West Nusa Tenggara (Antara Bali) - The Lakey Beach, famous as a challenging surfing beach, in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, is more attracted to the abroad tourist.
   
"Tourists from many countries come here every year, particularly between April and May because the wave height are  enormous and it is the main important thing for surfers. We can see 300 or 400 surfer tourists approximately come here every day during those months," as Chairman of Dompu Surfers Club, M Ali, in Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara, several days ago.
   
Beside surfing, in the last five years, the tourists come to Lakey Beach also want to experience kite surfing. It is a kind of surfing that combine with giant flexible and controllable kite. "This beach is very excellent place in doing kite surfing," he said.
   
Hotels and restaurants also present there, for the visitor can have some state-of-the-art accommodation and cuisines. Ali said, Lakey Beach is in third best position in the world amongst the surfers, after Hawaii and Australia.
   
"The calendar of event said that we will host an international kite surfing contest in May 2010. Our government has to pay the attention and reconstruct the 45 kilometres road which 33 kilometres are in worst condition," said Ali.
   
Otherwise, the existence of proper medical clinic, as Ali said, is the other thing to build so in case surfers get injured can examine in not a long time. The current medical clinic built there were under an Australian tourist assistance.
