Painan (Antara Bali) - Pesisir Selatan Police have identified 134 critical points along the Padang-Painan route, which will be passed by cyclists in Tour de Singkarak (TdS) on June 9, 2012.
"We have got 420 personnel. They will be assigned to each point on the route according to the level of vulnerability up to stage VI," Head of Operation South Pesisir Police, South Coast Resort Police, Police Commissioner Hendri Yahya said here on Tuesday.
The vulnerability is determined by the narrowness of the Painan-Padang route.
In addition, the livestock roaming free in the region may disrupt the smooth implementation of the competition.
On the day of the TdS, the Padang-Painan road may need to be closed for several hours.(IGT)
