Padang (Antara Bali) - A joint SAR team is still searching for a ship crew member named Alan (40) of Sungai Sariak, Padang Pariaman, who had gone missing after his ship "Anak Kandung 08" was hit by a big storm.
"In the meantime another crew member named Eki (20) of Pasir Sebelah, Padang city, was found in the waters of that city, head of the Padang fire fighting squad Budi Erwanto said in Padang on Thursday.
He said the search for Alan by the SAR team was started at 10 am by combing the islands of Bungus to Pesisir Selatan waters.
"There is a possibility that the crew member swam to the nearest island when "Anak Kanduang 08" was hit by the big storm," he said.
He added that the search for the other missing crew member is using two speedboats and rubber dinghies.(IGT)
