Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Dozens of children in Denpasar City, Bali, learned the art of processing waste, directly guided by Jepun Putih Foundation, in the Culture Park of Denpasar on Saturday.

"This art education aims to encourage the creativity of children and educate them to be wiser in using waste," Chairman of the Jepun Putih Foundation of Denpasar, Wayan Adnyana, stated.

In addition to providing art education, the garbage-based paintings of the children are also exhibited at the Bali Mandara Nawanatya 2018 show.

The exhibition shows the creativity of the children, as a form of appreciation, in order to make them more diligent in learning everything.

According to Adnyana, the children learn coloring lessons according to their own patterns and creativity, before processing waste into paintings.

After they learn to color neatly, they will then be taught how to process the waste according to the pattern of images that have been provided.

It is expected that with the early art education, children can reduce plastic waste and be wiser in using garbage.

Meanwhile, Winda, one of the participants of the art of processing plastic waste, was happy to follow the lessons.

"I am happy to learn the art of waste processing, because I have got many new friends here," she revealed.

Ni Luh Sri, the mother of one of the students, remarked that her son was interested in joining the class.

She also hopes her son will be wiser in using waste, especially plastic waste. (WDY)
