Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the working meeting on National Health 2017 at the Bidakara Hotel here on Tuesday to discuss efforts to improve the health of the community to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.
"We hope malnutrition would no longer exist in the years to come. This is a problem that we must solve," the president noted in his speech while opening the National Health Working Meeting and launching the Specialist Doctors Compulsory Work.
During the meeting, the construction of some 124 Community Health Centers in the border areas will also be discussed.
President Jokowi stated that all relevant ministries and institutions related to health issues should focus on handling the issue of malnutrition and make efforts to improve community health.
Further, the president explained that Indonesia will enjoy a demographic bonus during the 2025-2030 period when the number of people in the productive age group will increase rapidly and serve as a capital for the development of the nation. (WDY)
