President Jokowi Attends National Social Solidarity Day In C Kalimantan

Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is making two-day working visits to the Central and West Kalimantan provinces to observe National Social Solidarity Day and inaugurate the Entikong border patrol post.

President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana departed by presidential aircraft Indonesia-1 from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, eastern Jakarta, here, at 8:10 a.m. local time.

Upon arrival in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, the president will lead a function to observe National Social Solidarity Day at Sanaman Mentikei Stadium.

From Palangkaraya, they will proceed to Pulang Pisau District to witness a collaboration between the community-based forest industry and integrated wood industry.

They will also present food supplements to elementary school students in the district.

In the afternoon, they will return to Palangkaraya for an overnight stay.

In the morning on Wednesday, the president and his entourage will leave for Entikong, Sanggau District, West Kalimantan, to inaugurate the integrated Entikong border patrol post, located in the border area between Indonesia and Malaysia.  
   
The president is also scheduled to present food supplements and land certificates to local inhabitants of the Sanggau and Kubu Raya districts.

His entourage comprised Coordinating Minister for Human and Cultural Development Puan Maharani, Health Minister Nila F Moeloek, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and presidential special staff Johan Budi.  (WDY)
