Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo has ordered police chief General Tito Karnavian to investigate an explosion incident in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Sunday morning.
"I have already received a report about it from the police chief (and) I have ordered him to immediately tackle it," he said after meeting with leaders of the United Development Party (PPP).
President Joko Widodo said the law must be enforced firmly and the case be investigated thoroughly.
An explosion believed to come from a bomb happened in front of Oikumene Church on Jalan Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Sunday morning injuring four under-five year old children.
"It happened at around 11.30am Central Indonesia Time," head of public relations of the East Kalimantan regional police command, Senior Commissioner Fajar Setiawan, said to ANTARA.
He said the explosion came from a bag believed to contain a molotov cocktail thrown at the church by a man who has now been arrested.
"The perpetrator has been arrested and is now being held at the Samarinda city police headquarters," he said.(WDY)
