Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo has asked regional heads to map corruption-prone areas in their respective regions.
In addition, the regional governments must also be sensitive to problems developing in the community, he said here on Thursday.
"Identify threats to the nation particularly with regard to drug, corruption, social gap, radicalism, terrorism and disaster-prone areas," he said.
He expressed the hope that the regional heads elected in the simultaneous elections held on December 9 last year would be able to accommodate the people's aspirations and would not abuse their power.
"Regional heads are elected by the people so they must carry mandate, understand the public's aspirations and organize the community," he said.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan called on the regional heads to make self introspection.
"Don't let yourselves be trapped in corruption after receiving the mandate from the people," he said. (WDY)
