Cirebon, West Java (Antara Bali) - State Enterprises Minister Rini M. Soemarno paid a working visit to Cirebon, West Java, on Friday to oversee the Sindanglaut sugar mill of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia.
The Sindanglaut sugar mill has a milling capacity of 12 thousand tons of sugarcane per day, but when the minister visited the sugar mill, it was entering the final phase of the sugarcane milling season.
After the visit, Minister Soemarno, in the company of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia Director Didik Prasetyo and Cirebon District Head Sunjaya Purwadi, held a dialog with the sugarcane farmers and employees of the Sindanglaut sugar mill.
Prasetyo then reported to the minister that PT Rajawali Nusantara is entering a period of increased production.
"This year, the sugar mill has produced some 90 thousand tons of sugar, or an increase of 16 percent compared to 2014," Prasetyo remarked. (WDY)
