On Tuesday (June 9) night, Novanto had directly communicated with President Joko Widodo regarding the replacement for the Indonesian Military (TNI) commander and BIN head.
According to Novanto, the letter was received on Tuesday (June 9), and it will be followed up soon.
"The letter will be followed up and then forwarded to the consultative body of the House of Representatives," he revealed.
Novanto remarked that the House will conduct a fit and proper test for the candidates applying for the posts of the TNI commander and BIN head.
He expressed hope that the fit and proper test would be conducted properly, as the appointment is the president's prerogative.
"Hopefully, it can run well because the appointment is the prerogative of the president," he stated. (WDY)
