Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa duo will intensify their campaign during the remaining seven days ahead of the presidential election on July 9, secretary of national campaign, Fadli Zon, said here on Tuesday.
"We will reach out to the people and maximize our campaign efforts through our national and regional teams," he said after the announcement of the wealth of presidential and vice presidential candidates at the office of the General Election Commission (KPU).
Fadli Zon noted that the "wind" had been blowing in favor of the Prabowo-Hatta pair, and he was optimistic that the pair will win the election.
"God willing, we will win," he said.
He said his optimism was based on the results of an internal survey in 32 provinces in the country, which are in favor of the duo.
"We have surpassed the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kallas electability by 35 percent," he claimed.
He pointed out that the electability of the Prabowo-Hatta pair had even equalized their rivals at certain strongholds, such as Central Java, of the Indonesia Democratic Party Struggle (PDIP), which is presidential candidate Jokowis party.
"Even in East Java, the Prabowo-Hatta pair is already leading albeit marginally," he said.
Vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa agreed, saying that he was more optimistic now after the party of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had finally decided to support him.
"That gives us fresh energy, and I believe votes from the Democrat Party cadres will go to us. God willing, we will win the 2014 election on July 9," he said at the same occasion.(WDY)
