Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Visitors to Bali`s tourist resort of Tanah Lot are expected to peak on the fifth day after the Idul Fitri D-Day next week, the Tanah Lot manager said.

"It will coincide with civil servants` collective leave so that many domestic tourists will visit Bali`s tourist spots, including Tanah Lot," Tanah Lot Tourism Area Manager I Ketut Toya Adnyana, said here on Saturday.

He said that the domestic visitors to Tanah Lot was expected to increase more than 100 percent from normal days when some 5,000 to 6,000 people came to visit the Tanah Lot Hindu shrine.

Ketut said that during the peak next week, about 14,000 to 15,000 domestic tourists were expected to visit the Tanah Lot Hindu Shrine.

He said that on the second day of Idul Fitri holiday on Friday, about 12,000 - 13,000 visitors arrived in Tanah Lot.

He said that visitors to the tourist site which was located in Beraban village, Kediri Subdistrict, Tabanan District, had been increasing since last week.

Ketut said that in anticipation of the influx of visitors on the peak day, his side had prepared four reserve parking lots outside the main parking area with a capacity of accommodating 450 vehicles.

His office also prepared a convenient waiting room for drivers who delivered visiting guests to Tanah Lot. "We also assigned 50 security personnel, consisting of police, transportation service officials, village security guards or local security personnel," he added. (WRA)
