Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bali police tighten control at all entry gates to the tourist island to prevent infiltration of terrorists to the island which has twice suffered big terrorist bombings over the past several years.
Units of police mobile brigade are placed at the ports of Gilimanuk, Badung and Padangbai, Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Arif Wahyunadi said here on Monday.
The precautions were taken after Sunday's bomb blast at a Buddhist monastery in Jakarta inuring a woman and the four terrorist convicts still at large after a recent jail break in Medan.
Police also launched raids at highways leading to big cities on the island, Arif said, adding people are also expected to report any suspicious to police.
He said police are also still concerned with the recent loss, not yet found, of 250 pieces of dynamite in Bogor. Police are still worried with the four terrorist convicts still at large and the dynamites still missing, he said.
