Bandung City to Develop Transportation Sector

Bandung (Antara Bali) - The Bandung Regional Government-owned Enterprise (BUMD) will cooperate with the China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CMC) in the development of the transportation sector in the Bandung City, West Java Province.

"The cooperation one one of the points in the Letter of Intent (LoI) agreement with CMC, namely to develop monorail transportation in Bandung City," said W Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan in a press statement received here Sunday.

According to him, the regional enterprise firm will implement the master plan and also guides the monorail construction in Bandung as the Capital City of W Java.

The LoI also incorporated the assessment plan as the foundation for the Bandung Raya Master Plan cooperation  and as the basic for regional development and integrated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system.

"We will follow up the LoI in accordance with the law in force in Indonesia. The implementation of this agreement will be conducted through proper approaches and at the right time," Heryawan said. (IGT)
