"The banners the party has set up across the country containing calls for rejection of the fuel price hike clearly show that the Prosperous and Justice Party (PKS) has run against the government. This is a concrete proof of PKS' opposition and disloyalty," the observer, Saleh Partaonan Daulay, from Jakarta-based state Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic University said here on Wednesday.
He said with the campaign banners also showing pictures of party leaders and legislative candidates it would be impossible for the government to expect the party to support its fuel price policy moreover PKS leaders have also consistently expressed their opposition to it.
In view of that it would be unethical for PKS to remain in the government coalition and the cabinet, he added.
Saleh said if PKS would not withdraw its ministers in the cabinet he suggested that the President would take a firm action by replacing the ministers with cadres from other coalition members which are loyal. (IGT)
