Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Incumbent governor Made Mangku Pastika and his running mate Ketut Sudikerta won the Bali gubernatorial election by garnering 1,063,734 votes (50.02 percent), 996 votes ahead of their rivals`.
The Bali Provincial Election Commission (KPU) endorsed the Pasti-Kerta pair as a winner of the gubernatorial election at a plenary meeting here on Sunday.
The pair of Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga and Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan who was supported by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) gained 1,062,738 votes or 49.98 percent of the total votes cast in the election.
The Pasti-Kerta pair was supported by a coalition of eight political parties, including the Golkar Party, the Democratic Party, the People`s Conscience Party (Hanura), the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party, the Justice and Indonesian Union Party (PKPI) and the National Mandate Party (PAN).
The success team of the Pasti-Kerta pair represented by Made Mudarta said the team 100 percent accepted the vote tally endorsed by the KPU.
Meanwhile, Arteria Dahlan and Made Supartha who represented the Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga-Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan pair objected the vote tally arguing there was still difference of vote counts in a number of districts.
They said they found a number of voters casting votes more than once. (*/M038)
