The ministry's director general for resources and postal and information service, Muhammad Budi Setiawan, said here on Wednesday.
He said his ministry through the directorate general of information application has carried out a study and would keep monitoring it through reports from the public.
He said he would close cites which are considered violating the laws including pornographic, gambling and smearing cites and cites that hurt inter-religious, -ethnic, -racial and -group relations locally known by its abbreviation SARA relations.
He added the government has so far already blocked thousands of cites like them but they still keep growing.(IGT)
