Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesian Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo said the upcoming G-20 summit in Los Cabos, Mexico, on June 18-19 would discuss the latest developments in the European crisis.
"As I learned from the agenda of the summit, there will be a thorough discussion on the latest developments in the global economy," he stated here on Tuesday night.
Agus noted the summit was important because the European crisis showed no signs of abating. Besides, he added, Greece would hold general elections which would determine whether or not it would continue to be a part of the eurozone.
"The theme is very relevant, because we will all keep abreast of the general elections in Greece on June 17. The G20 leaders will engage in in-depth discussions in order to better respond to such developments," Agus said.
The minister explained the summit offered a good opportunity to highlight the importance of financing infrastructure projects, which could boost the economic growth of developed countries and developing nations.(IGT)
