Jimbaran (Antara Bali) - Jorge Lorenzo, the 2010 MotoGP world champion, said he needs a lot of miracles to win the main titles of the world motorcycle race in the 2011 season.
"I need a lot miracles to collect points in this season to compete with my strongest rival, Casey Stoner," he said here on Saturday.
Lorenzo admitted it was quite difficult to win the world MotoGP champion title this year.
But anything can happen in a sporting event. So a miracle may well happen whereby I will win the title," he said.
He said if he again topped collection of points until the final series he had to think of the right strategies for the next season to beat his rivals.
"Perhaps in the next season my strongest rival will still be Casey Stoner and so we must find the best strategy," he said.
Lorenzo meanwhile expressed the hope he could see talented racers from the country at the MotoGP.
He said it takes hard work and discipline to maintain stamina to be able to become a professional racer.
The world class racer met his fans on the island for the third time. His arrival was welcome by hundreds of fans.(*/T007)
