Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Former minister for Cooperatives and Small and Medium scale Enterprises Adi Sasono passed away at the age of 73 years here on Saturday afternoon.
Adi Sasono died in the Mayapada hospital in Lebak Bulus area of South Jakarta at 05.20 local tine, according to the former minister's family member Krishna Erwin.
Sasono who was born in Pekalongan, Central Java Province on February 16, 1943 became minister in the cabinet of the Indonesia's third president Prof BJ Habibie.
In 1990s, Sasono became general secretary of the Association of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI). (WDY)
