Yogyakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) returned to Jakarta after completing his visit to Yogyakarta in Central Java Saturday to celebrate Eid with the locals.

He left the city from the Adi Sutjipto airbase at around 3pm after completing his agendas since morning including an open house held at Gedung Agung (state palace).

Around two thousand people attended the open house.

President Jokowi distributed Eid packages in two locations, Suryatmadjan, and Badran in Bumijon, in the historic old city.

Earlier, he also distributed food packages in Prambanan in the district of Sleman.

President Jokowi arrived in Yogyakarta from Solo, his hometown about 60 km to the east, where he took the opportunity to visit his grandfather's grave to pay homage.

He came to Solo from Padang, West Sumatra, on Wednesday where he attended the Eid prayers at the city's grand mosque along with the locals. (WDY)
