Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Commission VII on energy affairs of the House of Representatives (DPR) has not yet received the academic concept paper regarding the revision of law on oil and gas and on mineral and coal mining.

"The government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), plans to revise the law on oil and gas and on mineral and coal mining. But until now, we have not received the academic concept notes regarding the move to revise the two laws," Commission VII Chairman Gus Irawan  Pasaribu said during a public discussion here on Tuesday.

Gus Irawan said  although the Commission had not yet received the academic concept papers, the revision of the two laws has been recorded in the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) 2016.

"Although we have not yet received their academic draft revision, yet the law on the oil and gas and  the law on mineral and coal mining has been included in the Prolegnas 2016," Gus Irawan said.

He said his commission had not yet either received the academic concept paper for the Energy Resilience Funds (DKE) program.

"Commission VII has asked for the concept notes, including the DKE concept, from the ESDM minister. It has not yet received any these with regard to revision of laws and the draft on the Energy Resilience Funds, " Gus remarked. (WDY)
