Lhokseumawe, Aceh Darusalam (Antara Bali) - At least 230 illegal immigrants from Bangladesh now accommodated at former immigration office in Lhokseumawe,Aceh, are ready for deportation after Idul Fitri.
Head of the Lhokseumawe immigration office M. Akmal said here on Wednesday , the travel documents for the 230 illegal immigrant have been available.
The documents were received by the district immigration office last week from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Akmal said.
The illegal immigrants were stranded in the sea off North Aceh several months earlier.
They left their country mainly on economic reason.
Aceh also has a number of illegal immigrants from Myanmar, the Rohingya Muslim minority, who are mainly political refugees. (WDY)
