Jakarta (Antara Bali) -- Indonesia and China agreed to increase
communication on global issues here on Wednesday, as part of efforts to
respond to developments.
Cabinet Secretary of Indonesia Andi Widjajanto said in a text message to newsmen that President Joko Widodo met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the day to discuss efforts towards increasing cooperation between the two countries.
"They also discussed the implementation of the results of the Beijing agreement, which can be brought into effect immediately, and agreed to conduct strategic communication on global issues," he noted.
Widjajanto added that the two leaders also spoke about the roles both nations can play to realize a new world order that is more balanced and just.
In addition, the Maritime Silk Route and the World Maritime Axis target were also discussed in the meeting. (WDY)
