Quintiles Korea Wins Grand Award by Great Place to Work in First Year of Participation
Seoul, South Korea (Antara Bali) - Quintiles announced today that it has been recognized as one of South Korea’s Best Workplaces by the Great Place to Work® Institute. This is Quintiles Korea’s first time to receive the award; it joins many other Quintiles’ offices worldwide similarly honoured by the Great Place to Work Institute.
Quintiles Korea was a “Grand Award†winner – the highest level – from among more than 100 companies in South Korea that participated in this year’s study. The Great Place to Work Institute annual ranking is a comprehensive study of organizational culture and also the world’s largest and most respected study of workplace excellence and people management practices.
MiSook Hyun, General Manager of Quintiles Korea, said: “This award affirms our efforts to create a company that employees can trust and that values their well-being. It is a tremendous honor and speaks volumes about Quintiles’ commitment to our people.
“We are incredibly proud of our team in South Korea and the work they do to improve our customers’ probability of success. It’s wonderful to see our efforts to create a positive, collaborative workplace validated by this award.â€
The Great Place to Work Institute launched the first Best Companies to Work For list in conjunction with Fortune magazine in the United States and Exame in Brazil more than 20 years ago. The institute now recognises great workplaces in nearly 50 countries.
Won Wook Ji, executive director of Great Place to Work® Korea, said: “Employee trust is not only a measure of evaluation but also the foundation of a company’s success. It is important for companies to create workplaces dedicated to fostering trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees, in addition to ongoing trust with customers.
“In that sense, it is meaningful for Quintiles Korea to be selected as a 2014 Great Place to Work. It is not overstating that the future of business in Korea rests on these great companies to work for.â€
