Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Board of Indonesia (BMKG) has predicted that waves in the Northern Sunda Strait will reach a maximum height of 1.25 meters to 2 meters, from Monday to Tuesday.
The forecaster from Fourth Class Maritime Meteorological Station of Lampung Dwi Hartomo Ramdani in Bandarlampung, pointed out on Monday that there was no warning of severe weather in the Sunda Strait (Merak Port to Bakauheni Port).
Dwi stated that the weather in the Northern Sunda Strait is rainy with winds blowing from the Southwest to Northwest at five knots to ten knots. The height of the waves ranges from 0.5 meter to 1.25 meters, reaching a maximum of 1.25 meters to 2 meters.
The condition is quite similar in the Southern Sunda Strait waters and the West Coast of Lampung.
Meanwhile, the weather on the Indian Ocean, West of Lampung is cloudy with winds blowing from the Southeast to Northwest at five knots to ten knots. The height of the waves ranges from 0.75 meter to 1.25 meters, reaching a maximum of 1.25 meters to 2 meters.
The weather forecast for the East Coast of Lampung waters is rainy with winds blowing from the Northwest to North at five knots to 15 knots. The height of the waves ranges from 0.5 meter to 1.25 meters, reaching a maximum of 1.25 meters to 2 meters.
"The weather forecast indicates rains in the Northern Sunda Strait, Southern Sunda Strait, East Coast of Lampung waters, West Coast of Lampung waters and The Indian Ocean," he explained. (*/DWA)
