Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi has given a positive response to speak as one of invited thought leaders at APEC CEO Summit 2013 in Bali on October 7.
"We received a positive response from Aung San Suu Kyi on August 19. But she has yet to confirm her attendance," said Hani Fibianti, communication director of Golin Harris, the organizing committee of APEC CEO Summit, here on Sunday.
Along with Suu Kyi, Nouriel Roubini of Roubini Global Economics, Kishore Mahbubani of LKY School of Public Policy, former chief economist of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Klaus Schmidt-Hebbel, author of "Breakout Nations" Ruchir Sharma, and former US Trade Representative Susan Schwab, are also expected to speak as the thought leaders during APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Dialogue with Leaders.
The ABAC Dialogue with Leaders will be held after the APEC CEO Summit to be participated in by APEC economic leaders, thought leaders and business leaders. (*/M038)
