Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The creative economy sector enriches national identity because it is able to integrate technology and culture-based innovations, arts and ideas which have so far been thriving among the country's locals, a ministry official said.
"With the support creative economy, our nation enjoys benefit, namely pro-people economic growth, effective utilization of natural resources and enrichment of the country's cultural identities," Neddy Rafinaldi, deputy for business marketing and networks of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, said here on Wednesday.
He said that the creative economic sector also played an important role in creating employment opportunities and in improving the welfare of the people.
Besides increasing the capacity of appropriate technology and to produce pro-green based economic products, creative economy is also able to preserve the nation's unique and special cultural heritage and creativeness.
"We have to take advantage of and optimize the development of creative economy. After all, the development of creative economy is becoming a trend in Indonesia and abroad," he said. (M038)
