Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The average room occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in the resort island of Bali rose 2.07 percent in March to 60.12 percent from 58.05 percent a month earlier.
"The occupancy rate is still good as it is above 50 percent which is enough to offset operating expenses including labor cost," head of the Bali provincial statistics office Gede Suarsa said here on Saturday.
Most of the tourists stayed at star-rated hotels while holidaying in Bali, he said.
The highest room occupancy rate was seen in Badung district with 62,39 percent, down 79.58 percent from the month before. This was followed by Gianyar district with 51.79 percent, down from 60.97 percent in the previous month, he said. (IGT)
