Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia will participate in the International Tourism Bourse in Berlin on March 5, 2013 in an effort to lure German tourists to come to the country, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said.

"By participating in the tourism exhibition we hope the number of foreign tourists to the country will increase. The number of German tourists to Indonesia meanwhile has always increased from year to year," he said at his office here on Monday.

The number of German tourists to Indonesia from January to November 2012 was recorded at 143,316, up from 132,820 in the same period of 2011.

Total foreign tourists to Indonesia in the period reached 7,277,496, higher than 6,925,192 recorded in the same period of 2011.

Minister Marty confirmed President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would attend the exhibition. (IGT)
