Cairo (Antara Bali) - The 12th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to be held in Cairo, February 6-7, 2013, will discuss issues on Palestine, Muslim minorities such as Rohingya, and the Arab Spring, particularly the bloody revolution in Syria.

The issues were stated in the draft final communique prepared during the OIC ministerial-level meeting being held on February 4-5, 2013, Antara's correspondent, Munawar Saman Makyanie, reported here on Tuesday.

The draft communique will be submitted to the upcoming OIC Summit for discussion. Earlier, the OIC Senior Officials' Meeting was organized in Cairo on February 2-3, 2013.  
    
The Indonesian delegation in the ministerial-level meeting of OIC was headed by Hasan Kleib who represented Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa.

Hasan Kleib said Indonesia has been paying special attention to Rohingya crisis as well as other Muslim minority problems including those concerning Moro minority in the Philippines.  Indonesia is the chairman of the OIC's Peace Committee for Southern Philippines.

In the draft communique, the OIC member countries urged the Myanmar government to deal with the violent conflicts between the Muslim Rohingya and the ethnic Rakhine Buddhists. The ASEAN member country is also urged to stop the humanitarian crisis faced by Rohingya ethnic minority. (*/DWA)
