Jakarta (Antara Bali) - U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia Scot Marciel met with two members of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Adnan Pandu Praja and Zulkarnain, to discuss the anti-graft body's continuing efforts to fight corruption in Indonesia.
Ambassador Marciel reiterated the United States' support for Indonesia's work to fight corruption across government, the US embassy said in a statement here, Friday.
The United States is also committed to fighting corruption, including through the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Ambassador Marciel noted that in his conversations Indonesians said that fighting corruption is a key issue.
The United States provides support for Indonesian anti-corruption efforts through sharing of lessons learned in the fight against corruption in America and through capacity-building activities with the KPK, according to the statement. (*/DWA/T007)
