Padang (Antara Bali) - A lawmaker from the Commission III of the House of Representatives, Taslim, urged police to hand over investigation of the driving simulator case to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Police and the anti graft agency have been at loggerhead over which of them has the right to investigate the case which involved two police generals.
Taslim said police should abide by the law that authorizes KPK to take over investigations of corruption cases in the country.
Police have proved to be failed in unveiling a number of big corruption cases involving police officers, he said here on Thursday.
In addition under the KPK law, other law enforcing agencies may not interfere in cases being investigated by the anti graft agency, he said.(*/T007)
