Denpasar (Antara Bali) - "Odalan" or a Balinese Hindu ceremony harmonizes the Tri Hita Karana concept or three goodness applied in tourism sector, held at Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort on Tuesday, July 3.
     
"Odalan was held at the resort temple to celebrate the harmonious living within the religious, people and environment in the resort and community," Director of Marketing Communications of Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort, Sugeng Purnomo,  said here on Thursday.
     
He said that rituals were organized by the resort’s Hindu committee and were attended by management, associates, and guests of the resort. It was conducted by a Hindu priest at the temple located in the resort temple.
     
Odalan is important Hindu rituals conducted by the Balinese people to ensure the spiritual harmony in the area and its surrounds which not only for purification but to bless the resort, associates, and the guests.
     
It was a reflection to the Hindu Religion Balinese concept of life where the Tri Hita Karana or three pillars of Parahyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan are applied in their daily life.
     
The pillar of Parhyangan, is a concept related to the harmonious relations between human to their God is applied in daily activities of associates in the resort.
     
The Hindu associates prays to the God in one of the resort temples amongst the 19 temples in the resort grounds prior starting their duties. The pillar of Pawongan, which is related to the harmonious relations amongst the people is also applied in the resort and the last pillar of Palemahan which highlights the relations between people to its environment is continuously applied in the resorts.
     
"On environmental issues, number of activities are held such as cleaning campaign, baby sea turtle release in the resort beach are created to enhance the associates awareness, and caring to its environment," he added.(DWA/T007)
