Nusa Dua (Antara Bali) - Vice President Boediono recently commented that the media industry, both print and electronic, has been expanding throughout the world.
"The competition in the media industry in the future will be tighter. Therefore, media must be able to provide information which is accurate and fast," Boediono said here, Wednesday, during his opening remarks at the Publish Asia 2012 meeting.
He called on the media to provide information to the public, including in Indonesia, which is very vast, causing some people to not have access to the electronic media, such as found on the internet.
He further said he thought print media will continue to enlighten people in various regions.
WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers) President Jacob Mathew, in his remarks, expressed his appreciation for the media collaboration at the ongoing annual strategic event.(IGT)
