Jakarta (Antara Bali) - First Lady Ani Yudhoyono was discharged from the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital in Central Jakarta on Sunday after 5-day treatment for typhoid fever.
A team of presidential doctors allowed Ani Yudhoyono to leave radio-nuclear installation at the hospital's radio-diagnostic unit at around 10.00 a.m. on Sunday after undergoing the last medical checkup.
She was not accompanied by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono but by her oldest son, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
Aris Wibudi, one of the presidential doctors, said Ani had recovered and would no longer need outpatient or subsequent treatment.
It took nearly a week for Ani to fully recover and return to normal activities, he said.
Ani was admitted to the hospital on December 27, 2011.(IGT/T007)
