Semarang (Antara Bali) - Ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are to gather in Semarang, Central Java, for a pre-ASEAN Summit meeting on October 8-11.
Consequently, Semarang's Ahmad Yani international airport is being readied for their arrival, general manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, the airport operator, Priyo Jatmiko, said here on Thursday.
"We have prepared everything optimally with support from the Semarang city and Central Java provincial administrations," he said.
Regarding the schedule of their arrivals Priyo said PT Angkasa Pura has not received the schedule. "We are still waiting for it from the Central Java provincial administration," he said.
A large banner has been put reading "Welcome ASEAN Delegates to 9th SOCaA & 6th ASCC" at the terminal to welcome the guests.(**)
